General notes on portraits and headshots

All portraits and headshots are professionally retouched  and delivered in a format suitable for computer media, and print. Sessions can be scheduled at a site of your choice (within the Erie area) or in a studio.

A note on times.  You are guaranteed the time allotted for each offer, but I must tell you that I often extend time a bit if we need to get the shot or we get off track.  I’m more interested in the image than the clock.

Headshots

The Essential $150

We take 15-30 minutes to get a nice image (The Lovely Kathryn says you should get two.  There you go, a bonus) for your professional and social sites and to adorn your CV when you make that presentation at the association annual meeting.

The Professional $250

  A session of 60 minutes, sometimes a little more.  You get five fully retouched images.  The difference here is we take a variety of poses and may have location or outfit changes.  Today, headshots have grown to include images that range from the classic pocket shot to full length portrait-like pictures of someone in their milieu.  So you get to choose variations on a theme to suit different purposes in your professional or social life.

 

Let’s Talk     starts at $500

     This is for enterprises that want to get headshots of their members at one site in one session.  Call so we can discuss what you’d like, and how we might price it.

Portraits – Families, Couples, Individuals, Children

 Again all portraits are completely and professionally retouched.  Sessions can be scheduled at a site of your choice in the Erie area or in a studio

The Essential Session $250

60 minutes at one site. We will discuss your vision, and take time to create it in a  beautiful image. You will select an image from more than twenty proofs.  I will completely retouch the image and deliver it to you in a digital file, and one 8×10 print. Files will be in a format of your choice, and you will get a print release for the digital file. 

Something More  $550

Up to three hours at one or more sites within that time.  Although you may change outfits, there is a degree of difficulty getting all those clothes changed if a group is large. You will choose five images from about 50 raw proofs.  I will fully retouch the images and provide them to you in digital files of your choice and five 8×10 prints. You will also get print releases for the files.

 

Senior Portraits  

I have chosen not to up-sell on prints or print packages. Having talked to a number of parents, I found they desired to have more than one final pose, and the freedom to print them in quantities, qualities, and sizes they desired.  So unless stated otherwise, all images will be delivered in a digital format of your choice.  That isn’t to say I won’t print pictures if you’d like.  I’d love to discuss prints if you would like some.  Just understand there will be no post-shoot ordering session.  

If you would like additional files from a shoot, I sell them for $50 apiece or five for $175.  Again these would be fully retouched.

The Essential Session   $250

We’ll take 90 minutes to get you a beautiful portrait to memorialize your transition from teenager to young adult.  Feel free to change outfits as often as you like within that time.  Then you can choose five images from at least twenty proofs which I will put through a complete finishing retouch.

The Full Session $550

A half day shoot.  Four hours with unlimited outfit changes.  This is a long time to pose.  You’ll be surprised how tired you’ll get. So we’ll take our time to enjoy it, and might even stop for ice cream along the way.  At the end we’ll have well over fifty shots for raw proofs.  You’ll get to choose ten images for a final professional retouch. You’ll receive those ten images in a digital file format of your choice, and ten 8×10″ prints.

This is a wonderful session.  I like it because we get to know each other, and it’s easier to relax.  The first minutes of any shoot are a period of acclimation – getting used to the photographer, getting comfortable with posing and calming nerves. In this session you will end up relaxed and have fun.

 

 

Parental Support     

Parents,  I hope you will join your son or daughter on the shoot.  I have all the FBI and legal clearances that allow me to shoot at schools, and I’m very careful about boundaries with my clients. But I like input and feedback from parents to ensure all is comfortable and within your family’s rules.
